Are you tired of vaccinating your dog annually? Do you have questions about vaccines your current vet doesn't want to or can't answer? Are you looking for alternative options besides pills and injections to help your pet with allergies?
My name is Dr. Rebecca Serrano-Burns, I am the owner and veterinarian at Premier Animal Wellness Clinic. I found this clinic to bring quality medicine to people who want more for their pets, especially those seeking integrative or alternative therapies. My goal in veterinary medicine has always been to tailor medicine to the individual patient, not just give the same medication (or food) to help treat allergies.
Meet the Staff
My name is Rebecca Serrano-Burns (Dr. Serrano), I grew up in Pickerington, Ohio on my family's hobby farm. I got my undergraduate degree from the University of Findlay in 2018 and then went on to The Ohio State University to obtain my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and graduated in 2022.
My primary interest is integrative/holistic medicine and dietary therapy through kibble alternative diets (real food based). While I love integrative medicine, I can also work as a conventional veterinarian if that is what you want (less diet and supplement focused, more traditional medicine).
One important note: I think one of the biggest problems in the veterinary field is a lack of open mindedness when it comes to alternative medicine- I want clients to know that I will do my best to listen and learn what you want for your pet without the judgement you may be used to. Have a question- just ask!
Charlie is the only other on-boarded member of our staff. She is my 8 year old, German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix who loves food and activity. She loves her ball and playing with her 2-legged friends, but will probably ignore your 4-legged companions. You may recognize her paw as part of our logo!
Our Future
At this time Premier Animal Wellness only offers mobile and telemedicine (please see our services section for more), but the goal is to be a be a full service, one stop shop, brick and mortar!
